City Taxis will never pass data we hold about customers. Any data we hold is used to improve customer booking experience. From the 25th of May 2018 GDPR came into force and marketing material will only be sent to customers who opt in to receive dedicated marketing material via our sign-up form.
The information we hold on customers who book taxis with us is as follows:
- Telephone number – To improve automated booking experience
- Pickup address history – To improve automated booking experience
- Journey History
- Phone call recordings – For training and quality purposes
- Email address (app subscribers) – For journey receipts
Council rules and regulations state that we must hold all journey information, including the details of the driver who undertook the journey for a minimum of 6 months (could be longer depending on local licensing laws). Any information we legally need to hold for licensing purposes will be held in accordance of the rules and regulations.
