Cheers to Safe Journeys! City Taxis partners with Abbeydale Road Beer Festival to promote responsible rides.
In support of the Bears of Sheffield campaign, we will be donating our citygrab delivery fees this week to The Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
With just over a week left until the Bear trail comes to an end, the delivery fee is our final push to fundraise for the charity.
We have been supporting Bears of Sheffield since its launch in mid-July, sponsoring one of the 60 big bears (Steampunk Bear). Over the last two months, we have hosted multiple fundraising activities, from personalised Strava routes to kids colouring workshops to a closing party fundraiser. This weekend will also see eight members of Team City take on the Sheffield Half Marathon in support of the charity.
This isn’t the first time we have donated to local charities. May 2020, saw citygrab delivery fees donated over five consecutive weekends to the NHS and local charities raising a phenomenal £57,184.71.
Paul Gosney, Business Development Director at City Taxis and citygrab, said:
“Moving out of lockdown our journey continues with citygrab, proving its value to local independent outlets who provide amazing options for our customers. Over the next week, we are hoping people will order more than ever which will support The Children’s Hospital Charity, with citygrab donating every delivery fee to the charity but still paying the driver the full fee… hopefully, it will go a small way to plugging a large hole in the charities fundraising efforts.”
Delivery fees on all citygrab orders placed between 21st September – 28th September, will be donated to The Children’s Hospital, as they aim to raise enough money to build a new Cancer and Leukaemia ward.
