In line with current restrictions, private hire taxi services are permitted to continue to operate. This means you can still make essential travel arrangements with City Taxis.

For your safety

Screen partitions

Your safety is our priority, which is why we have installed our Private Hire Vehicles with protective screen partitions. Screened vehicles can be requested when you pre-book your journey by phone or on the City Taxis app. Please keep to the social distance where possible and always carry and use a face covering or protective mask whilst travelling.

Hygiene

City Taxis have also provided drivers with free cleaning equipment, in addition to masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and blue roll. All drivers are advised to clean down their screen after every journey and to wear facemasks when customers are in the car.

Collect & Deliver

If you’re struggling to get to your local supermarket, we can collect your order for you and deliver to your door. Simply place your Click & Collect order then follow the below steps on the City Taxis app:

1. Click the ‘Delivery’ icon on the home screen

2. Enter the store in the ‘Collect From’ bar

3. Enter your delivery address in the ‘Deliver To’ bar

4. Select ‘ASAP’ or ‘Schedule for Later’ depending on your allocated Click & Collect slot – please ensure you select the correct date and time

5. You will be asked to enter your order reference and name

6. Choose your preferred card from the payment method drop-down

7. Confirm your delivery

Once booked we will be in touch with the ETA. On delivery, your driver will place your order outside your door and wait nearby to ensure you collect it.
